New Airline Luggage Fees

Travel frustration About.com has recently posted a listing of the top 10 airlines new baggage fee rules. Yes, it sucks that airlines are now charging passengers to check their luggage, some even charging for carry-ons, but what is one to do? It seems it's always a David and Goliath situation. The big bad boys hit us up with all these extra fees and we the people end up adjusting our lives to meet their demands. Someone really needs to do something about this before it gets out of hand. What's next... fees for wearing a coat?

While the heated debate goes on we the passengers seem to be the ones caught in the crossfire. And now with summer travel upon us our hands are tied. How about layering your suitcase full of clothes on your body? There's a thought. After all, there's no additional charge for obese passengers so why not layer our suits and dresses and gym clothes upon our bodies until we look like the Michelin man wobbling our way through the aisles. The frustration is felt by all as they get us one way or the other. If the luggage fee is appealed then surely they'll find another way to squeeze it out of us.

In the meantime, I know many people want more info on what these additional fees will be should they either check in or carry on luggage on their next flight. Click here to read About.com's Budget Travel Top 10 Airlines Luggage Fees. No doubt they'll be useful in planning your summer travel as well as your budget. Safe travels.
