Show Your Car Love on Valentine's Day
Your car doesn’t need any flowers or chocolates this Valentine’s Day, all it wants is a little TLC with an oil change, tune-up and just some basic service. There’s no debating the value of preventative maintenance to keep you car running well – not to mention getting you safely to your hot date this V-Day – according to the Car Care Council. So treat your car to regular care and take the following preventative maintenance steps:
Change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles or three months, per owner’s manual. Check tire pressures at least monthly. This affects ride, handling, mileage and safety. Have the alignment checked at lease annually. Winter roads can take a toll on your cars suspension. Inspect the windshield wipers and lights on the car. Lights and wipers play a major role in safe driving.
