The 09' Mitsubishi Outlander Road Test

By Kimberly Ewing

Outlander The 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander has a lot to offer in the SUV crossover segment. Starting at just $20,380 you can get a lot for a little. The Outlander comes in both a four and six-cylinder. We prefer the six for the extra power.

With advanced air bag and safety engineering, the 2009 Mitsubishi Outlander feels secure and stable while being driven. There is also active stability control, ABS, and an available multi-mode AWD, to help aid in the comfort factor when cruising around town or going on a long drive.
The Rockford Fosgate audio system is fantastic for those long journeys where we love to pop in our favorite CDs open the sunroof, put all the power windows down and sing along to the music.

It is one of the more reliable cars Mitsubishi has produced. The 4 cylinder engine has good gas milage but not as good as a Honda CRV or a 4 cylinder Toyota RAV4. The current Outlander is so much better than the previous model it replaced. The driving experience is so much better than the previous model.
